Overview

Mera Peak is extensively considered Nepal’s most courageous and magnificent peak. It is the most favorite route for first-time climbers all over the world. Mera Peak, located in the classic Everest region, has served as a training field for climbers ever since the beginning.

Mera Peak is situated in Nepal’s Solukhumbu district, in the highest point of the Himalayas, the Mahalangur region. Mera’s summit offers a glimpse of five 8000-meter peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga.  Despite the fact that it is a climbing mountain, trekkers consider this similar to one of Nepal’s most renowned trekking peaks.

The journey starts with a breathtaking mountaineering flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Lukla is Nepal’s entry point to the Khumbu region and the whole Everest region. We begin our pre-climbing journey with less crowded terraced fields, pristine valleys, and quaint Sherpa communities after landing at Lukla’s airport runway. Moving forward, we cross Chutanga village then Khartitang via Zatrwa La. From the highest point of Zatrwa La, we have a spectacular view of the Dudh Koshi valley and various peaks such as Karyolung and Lumding Himal.

On the following day, we cross Kothe, Tangnang, and Khare before Mera Base Camp. From here, we trek to High Camp and then summit Mera Peak. The climb is accosted with breathtaking views of the Himalayas on the horizon. Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Nuptse, and Chamlang are among them. After some well-deserved downtime at the top, we carefully descend along the same path and return to Khare, Kothe, Thuli Kharka, Lukla, and finally fly back to Kathmandu.

You will get an unforgettable trekking experience in the Everest area with exciting natural and cultural highlights in a short amount of time. On your next vacation, join Mera Peak Climbing for 17 days. For reservations and more details, please contact us right away.  Feel free to tailor the trip to your preferences and time constraints.

Day 5 Cross Zatrwa La (4600m) to Khartitang (3,900m, 7-8 hrs)

The Kalo Himal Ridge separates the Khumbu region from the Hinku Valley and Makalu region, and we climb over it.  To cross the Zatrwa La Pass, we begin our ascent through the steep trail and boulder slope. A few minutes’ walks from Gondishung leads to Lungsumgba Gompa, a two-century-old Buddhist Gompa. People assume that lighting the shrine at this Gompa ensures the success of the Mera Peak Climb. We then proceed to Tangnang.

Day 8 Acclimatization at Tangnang (4,350m)

We’ll be here for a day to acclimate and adjust to the cooler weather. Visitors who are interested in hiking will reach the Charpate Himal Glacier. The glacier hike provides breathtaking views of the mountains, river, and valley.

We will ascend steeply to the glacier’s summit before traversing the glacier to reach Mera Peak Base Camp. When we arrive at the base camp, our team will quickly set up the tent and make the requisite arrangements for the rest of the trek.

Day 11 Trek to High Camp (5,780m, 5 hrs)

The climb is greeted with breathtaking views of the Himalayas on the horizon. Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Nuptse, and Chamlang are among them. After some well-deserved downtime at the top, we carefully descend along the same path and return to Khare.

Day 13 Trek to Kothe (3,600m, 5 hrs)

After a successful climb to Mt. Mera, we descend to Hinku valley and camp in Kothe for the night. You arrive at Kothe after leaving behind the magnificent Himalayan backdrop.

Day 14 Trek to Thuli Kharka ( 6 hrs)

We will make our way to the lovely Thuli Kharka villages. To get to our destination, we’ll pass through some of the most beautiful scenery in the area. Also, the most skilled trackers would find the uphill and downhill track difficult. We arrived at Thuli Kharka after a 6-hour walk from Kothe.
