Overview

One of the most popular treks in Nepal on the trail of the Annapurna region, Annapurna Base Camp Trek.  Throughout the trekking, you will get a chance to behold the gleaming white Annapurna massif, Hiunchuli,  Gandharvachuli, Gangapurna, and other mountains. The trail goes beside terraced rice paddies, dense rhododendron forests, and high loftiness landscapes.

Annapurna base camp trek is also renowned for the diverse ethnic groups and localities. Gurung, Tamang, and Magars are the primary residents of the Annapurna region. Additionally, there are some villages where you can see Brahmins, Chhetry, and other ethnic groups.

The journey starts with a short drive from Pokhara to Kimchi, and then the trek starts. On this day, it will be a short trek to Ghandruk. A stone village where native Gurung people will welcome you. The next day starts with Gurung’s meal and then trek to Chhomrong, Bamboo, and Deurali. The journey from Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is slightly arduous with superb majestic views of the Machhapuchhre along with Annapurna South, Mt. Hiunchuli,  Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli, and Gangapurna, which is a delightful adventure. This day is the most important day of this trek, where we reach the Annapurna Base Camp. The next day we will retrace back on the same trail which we took earlier to Bamboo then Jhinu Danda. At Jhinu Danda, we will spend some quality time in the hot spring then trek to Matque. Once we reach Matque, our trek will end, and drive back to Pokhara and Kathmandu.

The Annapurna Base Camp 10 days trek is your thing if you are looking for an easy and excellent trekking trail in Nepal. At any time of year, you can go on this trek. Because of physical disabilities or other reasons, those who can not go trekking can choose a helicopter tour to Annapurna base camp.
