Once you reach Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the Himalayan Marvel Adventure
delegate will receive you from there then check-in in the hotel.
Early in the morning, we will sit together for a meeting with the tour guide and our staff then we
will give a brief discussion about our itineraries, accommodation, transportation, and services that
we include, and exclude, and we provide a cap, T-shirt, and bag with our company logo.
After the meeting, you can go to Kathmandu sightseeing with our city tour guide. Our city tour
the guide will take you to many famous places in Kathmandu Valley like Kathmandu Durbar Square,
Budhanilkantha, Bouddha, Pashupati Bhaktapur, Swoyambhu, Asan -market, and many more
according to the time we have.
On the Kathmandu-Pokhara Highway, we drive up to Dumre, then turn off and take a different
highway across the Marsyangdi River, crossing smaller villages and rice fields. After a six-hour
drive, we arrive in Besi Sahar, the Lamjung District capital. From Besisahar, we board a local
jeep and travel to Syange, the starting point of our trek.
After breakfast, we leave Syange and head towards Tal. After crossing Jagat and Chyanje villages and walking uphill we reach Tal. Explore the Tal village, witness the ethnic group people lifestyle, and enjoy the surrounding views.
Leaving Tal behind, we walk uphills to Danaque. After ascending a few hours we will meet a junction and from that point, we take the right way and a few more hours and finally at the destination.
On our way to Chame, the Manang District’s headquarters, we pass through an oak and maple
forest. Stunning views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV, can be seen during the trek. We also walk across small hot springs on today’s hike where we can cool off and relax our aching muscles.
The tracks mainly follow the Marsayangdi River, offering a constant view of the crystal river with
the Annapurna massif in the background behind the tall green hills. After a climb through the pine forest, you arrive in Dhikur Pokhari, passing through just two villages. Then it’s uphill to Upper Pisang, a charming settlement.
The road takes a detour after crossing the bridge. This less-traveled route undulates through a thin forest, a small pond with reflections of Annapurna II and IV, some mane walls, and crosses a suspension bridge in the morning. After a steep climb, the Gyaru Village, one of the two medieval villages on the day’s course, is reached. In this way, the perspectives of the valleys and Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV can be admired for the entire day. Before arriving at Ngawal, the second medieval village, the road becomes more rocky, passing by some fort ruins.
The trail rejoins the road near Mugje after descent to the valley and a simple landscape. The road leads to the village of Braga after passing through Mugje. Braga is divided into two sections: an ancient-looking village with a monastery just off the road, and new modern teahouses on the other side of the road. At Manang, the day concludes with a short road walk and a final climb. The path also comes to an end in Manang, and the trek can only return to the road after passing through the Thorang La.
To avoid altitude sickness, we must acclimate when ascending to higher altitudes. Manang is the perfect place, with its beautiful natural setting and a fast detour up to Khangsar in the afternoon.
We feel refreshed and ready to resume our journey now that we’ve rested. We enter grasslands where a few horses and yaks graze as we pass through the tall trees and into the alpine grass and junipers. The peaceful surroundings of Yak Kharka, complete with meadows and steep slopes, are perfect for us to spend the night.
As we climb along the east bank of Jarang Khola, trekking to Letdar aids in acclimatization to the rising altitude. We eventually arrive at the Thorung Phedi, a meadow surrounded by cliffs. Blue sheep and snow leopards have been seen in the region a few times, but Lammergeyers and griffons are very popular.
Your ultimate aim would be to cross the Thorong La Bridge, one of the world’s highest passes. Crossing from east to west is the quickest and safest choice. Get up early in the morning and start walking to the top. You will know that your journey was well worth it once you hit the top. You can take some pictures before entering the Muktinath Valley at the foot of the Thorong La Pass.
On the last day of hiking in the mountains, we descend to Lubra Pass where we can witness the hidden Bon village and have lunch there. After lunch, we take a walk to Jomsom. The strong wind and sand blowing from your front side will make walking through the Kali Gandaki river valley difficult. You must be lucky if there is no wind all day.
Today, we will leave Jomsom after a delicious breakfast with pictorial surrounding mountain views. After breakfast, we drive to Tatopani which will take around 5 hours to reach.
Today, we’ll enjoy a hot spring that’s ideal for a relaxing soak. It is widely usual that bathing in a hot spring will aid in the treatment of skin ailments. Besides, it provides both physical and mental nourishment.
Due to the vast distance to cover and the 1700-meter difference in altitude, it will be a difficult day. It takes two to three hours for Tatopani to reach Ghara village, and another hour to reach Sikha village, where lunch is served. After lunch, climb for about an hour and a half through terraced cultivations to the village of Chitre, then for about an hour through a rhododendron forest to Ghorepani.
The day starts early morning, we will get ready for our trek and leave at around 5 am. It will take around 45 mins to reach the viewpoint of Poonhill from where we can get the most beautiful sunrise view. It will be crowded so to get to the perfect place we need to get here earlier than others.
After spending some time observing one of the most beautiful views we retrace back to the lodge at Ghorepani have our breakfast and leave for Tikhedunga. After around 5 hrs walk we will reach Tikhedunga, where we will stay over.
Today last day of the trek, we trek few hours to Nayapul and then spend some time with our trekking crew. After some time, we say bye to the crew and drive back to Pokhara which will take around 3 hours. Once we reach, we check-in in the hotel and take a rest.
For the amazing sunrise view, we wake up early in the morning at around 5 and head towards Sarangkot. Once we witness the pictorial sunrise view we head back to the hotel and have breakfast. After breakfast, your Pokhara guide will take you to Mahendra cave, Bat cave, Talbarahi temple, Pame, Peace Pagoda, and Lakeside of the Pokhara.
Since it’s a long day, we start the day early in the morning. After breakfast at the hotel, we drove back to Kathmandu on the same route which we took previously. After around 7 hrs, we reach the hotel and then check in and relax.
Or if you fly back to Kathmandu it will take less time to reach there and you also get a chance to explore Kathmandu valley. If you are flying then you will take a morning flight at 7:45 am and by 10 am you will check-in in at the hotel. So you will have enough time to do shopping or explore the valley or you can relax the whole day, it’s your choice.
In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner with the trekking crew a guide, and other staff. Enjoy the farewell dinner, and then have a sound sleep at the hotel of Kathmandu.
Himalayan Marvel Adventure delegate will drop you at the airport before 3 hrs and return to the respective places. Or you can choose the next program for the next adventurous journey.
