Nestled between two towering ridges in the Khumbu region, Namche Bazaar offers a remarkable setting, surrounded by majestic peaks. This vibrant town is replete with numerous lodges, tea shops, and souvenir stores, providing a bustling atmosphere. This enchanting landscape leads us to our destination, Dole.

Day 7 Trek from Dole to Machhermo

Begin your day with a satisfying breakfast at the lodge before embarking on the trek. The journey entails a steady ascent along the valley’s edge, where you’ll witness a transition from small, thorny bushes to scrub juniper as the altitude gradually increases. Along the trail, you’ll pass by numerous summer settlements that serve as grazing pastures for yaks during the summer months. As you continue, you’ll be treated to magnificent views of Cho Oyu, a majestic peak ahead. Looking back down the valley, you’ll also catch glimpses of the stunning Kantega and Thamserku peaks.

Day 8 Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo

Today, we begin our trek towards the captivating Gokyo Valley and its magnificent lakes. The path we follow offers breathtaking scenery throughout the day. We first make our way to Pangka, descending slightly along the trail. En route, we are accompanied by the gentle flow of one of the melt-water rivers that originates from the western side of the Ngozumpa Glacier.

As we continue, we encounter a steep rocky incline that leads us into the valley, alongside the glacier. Along the way, we pass by the first of the holy lakes and soon reach the second lake. At this point, we come across a path that crosses the glacier and leads to Cho La pass at 5420m. The third lake, known as Dudh Pokhari, comes into view, and on its eastern shore lies the settlement of Gokyo. We continue our trek by the side of the lake until we finally arrive at the mesmerizing Gokyo.

Day 9 Rest day at Gokyo and Climb Gokyo Ri

Gokyo serves as a bustling trade center, managed by the hospitable Sherpa people who operate lodges to ensure trekkers receive exceptional services. This vibrant village is situated alongside the Ngozumpa Glacier, which happens to be the largest glacier in Nepal.

Our itinerary for today involves a delightful walk around the beautiful Gokyo Lake. Additionally, we will embark on a climb to the summit of Gokyo Ri, offering a mesmerizing view of the sunrise and unparalleled vistas of the majestic Himalayas, including the renowned Mt. Everest.

Day 10 Trek from Gokyo Renjo Pass Thame

In the early morning, following a hearty breakfast, we will embark on an exhilarating climb to reach the renowned Renjo La pass. This high pass, situated in the Everest region, offers a truly remarkable experience and continues to gain popularity. After approximately three hours of trekking, we will reach the summit of Renjo La, where a breathtaking panorama awaits. On this vantage point, you will be treated to awe-inspiring views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse, and Taboche, radiating in the warm sunlight. The vistas from Renjo La are reminiscent of those from Gokyo Ri, with the presence of the third Gokyo Lake adding to the mesmerizing scenery.

From the pass, our trail leads us downwards, following a stone staircase. It is important to note that the presence of ice on the trail during the descent can make it slightly hazardous. As we continue, we will come across the captivating Relama Tsho and Renjo Lake. Our path winds through a narrow valley filled with immense boulders until we reach Lumde. While there is a support lodge available in Lumde, it is worth mentioning that it may be closed at times. We will have lunch in Lumde before descending further to reach the scenic village of Thame.

Day 11 Trekking from Thame to Namche Bazaar

Following a satisfying breakfast at the lodge, we resume our trek, following a relatively flat route that gradually descends towards our first resting point, Thamo. Continuing towards Namche Bazaar, we cross a bridge and embark on a downward climb until we reach the picturesque village of Samde. This location treats us to breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. As we progress further, the trail steeply descends, leading us to the village of Thamo. Here, a significant attraction is the Khari Gompa, a monastery that serves as a nunnery and is home to both nuns and monks. Passing through a check post, we encounter the world’s highest hydroelectric power station, a remarkable engineering feat accomplished with assistance from Austria.

Day 12 Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

As we approach the final day of your trekking adventure, you can look forward to a pleasant and manageable hike. While there are a few brief uphill sections along the way, the overall terrain is cool and easy.

After navigating these short inclines, we will descend towards the Bhote-Koshi River, crossing it three times. The last leg of the trek includes a final uphill climb, lasting approximately 45 minutes, which will lead us to our ultimate destination, Lukla.

Day 13 Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Depending on favorable weather conditions, we will arrange an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. However, it’s important to note that weather patterns in this region can sometimes be unpredictable.

Upon returning to Kathmandu, the remainder of your time is yours to enjoy as you please. You may choose to explore the city at your own pace or engage in some shopping activities, perhaps purchasing souvenirs for your loved ones back home.

Day 14 Leisure day in Kathmandu

In the event of inclement weather in Lukla, we have set aside an extra day as a contingency plan. During this spare day, you are free to relax and enjoy the amenities of your hotel. Alternatively, you may choose to explore the vibrant neighborhood of Thamel, renowned as a popular tourist hub in Asia and across the globe. Take a leisurely stroll and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere, with a wide array of shops, restaurants, and cultural experiences awaiting you.
