Helambu Trek

Once you reach Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the Himalayan Marvel Adventure delegate will receive you from there then check-in in the hotel.

Early in the morning, we will sit together for a meeting with the tour guide and our staff then we will give a brief discussion about our itineraries, accommodation, transportation, services that we include, and exclude, and we provide a cap, T-shirt, and bag with our company logo.

 After the meeting, you can go to Kathmandu sightseeing with our city tour guide. Our city tour guide will take you to many famous places in Kathmandu valley like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Budhanilkantha, Bouddha, Pashupati Bhaktapur, Swoyambhu, Asan -market, and many more according to the time we have.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Sundarijal, which will take around 1 hrs if there is no traffic. To avoid heavy traffic, we will leave early in the morning. Today’s real journey starts once we reach Sundarijal. From here, we will begin the trek to Chisapani. First, we will take stone stairs that lead towards the Shivapuri National Park following the waterfall and watershed. Walking for around an hour, we will get an entrance to National Park. Walking further, we will pass via Tamang village and then hiking for 4-5 hrs through a deep forest will take us to Chisapani.

Get up early in the morning to witness the stunning sunrise from Chisapani. The walk today is much smoother since there are a less steep climb and descent. After breakfast, descends through the grasslands and fields, taking in the spectacular views of the Langtang Mountains. As we walk along the route, we can enjoy a glimpse of the Langtang range’s mountains. The incredible wonder of the day finishes when we arrive in Kutumsang, where we can roam around and enjoy the scenery.

Today we will walk about six hours to reach Thadepati. Following a mountain ridge, the route proceeds through the underpopulated forest to Magen Goth, providing breathtaking views and a lovely trekking experience. We will capture breathtaking views of the Himalayas, as well as historic sites along the way.

The trek descends at the beginning before we reach the Melamchi Khola. Then we make our way up to Tarke Gyang, crossing the Sherpa villages. Admire the scenery of the Himalayas shimmering in the sunlight. Explore the settlement and its monastery, which is one of the region’s oldest and largest. Since the majority of the residents are Yolmo, the community is more commonly known as Helambu.

Today’s trip will be relaxing because we won’t be raising much height. The path will lead us in thick woods, lakes, and majestic waterfalls. We will pass through several small villages on our way from Parachin to the Sherpa village of Ganguly. We arrive in Sermathang from Gangyul. It’s a great little town with a variety of Monasteries. The mountain views from Sermanthang are breathtaking.

On the final day of the trek on which we will trek around 3-4 hours to reach Melamchi Pul Bazaar across the Melamchi Khola. From the bazaar, we will drive back to Kathmandu and take a rest at the hotel.
